- How few states reciprocally like each other besides Utah and Colorado, Maine and New Hampshire and Oregon and Washington.
Which ones surprises you the most?

David Zamarin says
NV, and specifically Las Vegas, has long been called the 9th island because Hawaiians love to enjoy all the casinos and the gambling.
Years ago Boyd gaming started flights from there to LV and it remains a popular destination.
Mark Palmer says
Hawaiians like Nevada because there are many service industry jobs that they are already a trained for, and it often makes sense for them to move there financially

As a Kansan, I can say we do NOT like Colorado. Like at ALL. LOL. Seriously though, where was this data drawn from?
Bilbo Baggins says
I’m a resident of PA and thought about my answer before looking at the map and disagree with what the map shows. I would say WV is the preferred neighbor. Granted, NY loses points because of NYC, but it’s there and can’t be ignored.
David Beamer says
No. No. No. The proper demonym for a Michigan resident is MICHIGANDER. Not Michiganian…yuck. Yes, there are a few who prefer that name, but they are in the minority…and they’re stupid, and their mothers dress them funny. And whatever ancient meaningless insults might apply. 🙂
I’ve been a Michigander all my life (going on 70 years), and any other name just sounds wrong. Like fingernails on a blackboard.
Paula White says
I’ve lived in CT all of my life and MA would never be my choice. Definitely somewhere warmer.
Gary says
Hawaii likes Nevada simply because of Las Vegas. It has the largest popuation of Hawaiians outside of Hawaii. They moved to Las Vegas because of lower cost of living In fact, they calls Las Vegas the “ninth island”.
Brilliant Maps says
Still so weird to me you’d leave the paradise of Hawaii to the hell of Las Vegas, but to each their own.

No one likes Alaska?
John says
I’m from Vermont and I like Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.
Ohio should be paved and used as a parking lot.
Bernie Gilbert says
New Jersey isn’t anyone’s favorite state and New Jerseyites don’t like any other state. New Jersey is the recluse who lives in a cabin in the hills and doesn’t want anybody’s company.
And Minnesota is the favorite of four other states; only Florida and Colorado have more. Why the love for Minnesota? It doesn’t have warm weather and great beaches, and it’s cold but doesn’t have mountains decent enough for skiing. 🤔 Its most famous product is Somalis, which every sane American hates
And Minnesota’s favorite state is… Canada?
