Well that was dumb. Cincinnati is the best, most overrated AND most underrated city in Ohio? Whoever wrote this clearly doesn’t have their facts right, or proofread to see you cans be most overrated and underrated at the same time. Also there are lots of other places in Ohio than Dayton and Cincinnati. This was dumb.

Agree….entire article is meaningless. Have lived in CA, CO, AL, PA, WA, and know these states pretty well. What is the point of this article other than to stroke the writer’s ego? Ask 1,000 people and you’d get 1,000 different answers. Sorry I wasted my time on it.

I agree completely with L. It seems like the writer never even visited half of these states! For instance, Connecticut has None for best cities, when Stamford, Greenwich, and Danbury are clearly candidates there, New Haven is both the most Overrated and Underrated city, and Bridgeport is the worst city? This writer did NOT do their homework. This is lazy work and not worth even looking at!

Yep. Same with Bloomington in Indiana. Listed as the best city and the most underrated. Everyone that lives here KNOWS that Fort Wayne is the most underrated city in Indiana. They were right about South Bend being overrated. It’s a crap hole of a city.

EXCUUUUSE ME? I live in NJ and have for my whole 75 years. I find it offensive that for NJ under the “Overrated” section, you say … “They’re All Garbage.” Have all the voters ever even been to NJ? All of it? Sure some places like Camden, Paterson or Newark are not so great. But NJ has PLENTY of great places – small towns, countrysides, historic sites and cities, etc. Just having a comment like that in your article tells me the whole thing is GARBAGE!!!!

The name for CT is misspelled! It’s Nutmegger, as in Nutmeg. Traveling vendors used to sell them. There were also unscrupulous people who used to carve them from wood and sell them as real Nutmeg.

The other states with remarkable info were Massachusetts with Worst and under rated being Worcester. Now Connecticut was interesting in that best had NONE and worst was Bridgeport, while New Haven was both under and over rated. And lest not forget New Jersey reported “ They are all Garbage “ and California had two cities that were the worst: Bakersfield in the south and Modesto in the north. Very interesting survey. If not confusing.

I am born and raised a New Jerseyan, specifically a South Jerseyan. There are several NJ cities that are indeed bad but the majority are good-to-great. I take great offense to this article’s comment to NJ’s overrated city: “they’re all garbage”. This article is obviously written by someone who has never been to New Jersey. I would never live anywhere else!!!

This is no survey based on any quality of life metrics. It’s worthless. Edina was ranked the worst based on people’s hatred of it for being wealthy, having great schools, expensive homes, being great in sports (especially hockey) and general envy of “the good life”. The Star Tribune (most well read newspaper) had a piece about Edina after the instagram post on “worst cities” came out based on votes of the posts followers that basically made these same points. The results are based on envy and hatred, poor qualities for any individual to hold onto in life.

Virginia Beach is not the worst – not by a long shot. Try Petersburg or Portsmouth or Danville. Charlottesville is nowhere near the best. I assume the writer is some woke lefty with an agenda, but has never been to either place.
