Map created by reddit user Min_NooThe map above shows the flag of the country the origin countries of immigrants to different parts of Europe. I’m not 100% certain on the origin of the data for the map but a quick check looks like it’s fairly accurate.

For example in UK the biggest immigrants groups by county of origin in India, Poland, Pakistan, Romania and Ireland. Many of which are visible on the map.

However, the lack of Romanian flags means this data may come from before the UK left the EU.

It’s also important to remember for maps like this that they only reflect the largest group and not total numbers. Cornwall may have Germans as the largest single group living there but there are likely far more Germans living in London than in Cornwall.

Note, I believe the map was made before large immigration from Syria, Ukraine and Afganistan.

Moreover, you see many regions with the Vietnamese flag. These are mostly regions in East German where immigration from another communist state was encouraged, but overall immigration levels are very low.

In total there estimated to be 120,535 Vietnamese people living in Germany, making them the 27th largest group.
