    University of Idaho in Moscow Idaho Established 1889. BYU is a Utah University. Please correct your map or you will be besieged by generations of angry Vandals!

      This might be so, but BYU-Idaho’s predecessor college is actually older than the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, by a slim margin. BYU-Idaho acquired its present name in 2000-01, before that being known since 1903 as Ricks College and, before even that, first Bannock Stake Academy and then Fremont Stake Academy.
