How Many US Presidents Born In Each State?

Map found on reddit
The map above shows many presidents have been born in each US state. Virginia is by far the winner with 8 presidents born there (although none in the last 100 years), followed by Ohio with 7 (dominating the late 19th and early 20th centuries), New York with 5 and Massachusetts with 4.

In total, 21 states have given birth to a president and 29 have not.

Florida is the most populous state without a president being born there. Whereas Vermont is the least populous state to be home to a president (2 of them in fact).
