
The map shows what percentage of each Europeans country’s population can speak 3 or more languages. Unsurprisingly, Luxembourg, Finlamd, Norway, Slovenia and Switzerland are in the top 5.
Also, not surprising to see the UK so low, although I am surprised it’s higher than France and on par with Spain.
The map above used 2019, data, but I’ve been able to find 2022 Eurostat data below:

Now a few notes about the data above, it only include people 24-64 years old and is self-reported. So people may rate their language proficiency higher in one country than another. Still very interesting to see the variations between countries.
