The map above shows shows the number of Fortune 500 companies that are headquartered in each state. The data comes from the 2024 edition of the Fortune 500, which ranks America’s top companies by revenue (and not by profit or number of employees).

The biggest is King Ranch at 825,000 acres or 3,338 km2 (1,289 sq miles).
This is more then double the size of London or 3 times larger than all 6 of Europe’s micro states combined.
