Both of them were created by Climatologist Brian Brettschneider

The data was for the 30 year period from 1981 to 2010, and due to climate change some regions may now have different wettest and driest months.

    The designations “wettest” and “driest” apply to precipitation totals. Therefore, this might not necessarily take into account situations in which less rain falls for a far longer period in the day and/or night (giving the impression of “a rainy day” or whatever) or in which more rain falls for a much shorter period of time (e.g. thundershowers).
