Northern Europe

  1. Norway: Elias
    A children’s show about a brave little rescue boat named Elias working in a Norwegian coastal town.
  2. Sweden: Bamse
    “The world’s strongest bear” who gains strength from Grandma’s thunder-honey. Teaches values like kindness and friendship.
  3. Finland: Moomins

    I know 16 of them. I love The Mezga Family, Moomins, Smurfs, The Little Mole and Tom and Jerry the most. I’ll never grow up, I guess.

    Our Dutch character that you call “Miffy”, is originally named “Nijntje” as it was founded bij Dick Bruna, and still called so in the Netherlands. Nijntje comes from “Ko-Nijntje”= “little rabbit”
