The map above shows which Congressional Districts of the 117th Congress voted for or against Donald Trump’s second impeachment by the House of Representatives on January 13, 2021.

In total, 222 Democrats and 10 Republicans voted for impeachment with 197 Republicans voting against it.

    Thanks for “Brilliant Maps for Curious Minds”, which was very interesting. However, as a man who is one of the one out of twelve men who inherited color defective vision, the use of colors in the maps to identify differences was sometimes problematic and confusing. For instance map 29 on different languages spoken in different US states used a color palette of 16 colors, many of which I could not tell apart. There are many websites with technical advice on graphic design ideas to make such maps less troublesome for people like me. An example of a suggestion for map 29 would be to simply number the 16 colors and then put the appropriate number in each state on the map. Thanks again and I hope this feedback leads to helpful changes.

    Honestly I think the map is ugly and shows little originality from something we are all too familiar with.
