New world map
The IBGE [ Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística] launched a new world map with Brazil in the center, containing the south in the upper part of the map, also identified by an inverted map.
The new measure seeks to highlight Brazil’s current leadership position in important international forums such as BRICS and Mercosur and in the COP 30 in 2025.
Overall the map includes:
- Yellow: Brazil
- Green: Southern Common Market (Mercosul)
- Light Green: Amazonic Cooperation Treaty Organization (OTCA)
- Pink: Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP)
- Orange: BRICS
It also highlights
- Rio which will hold the next BRICs summit (On July 6-7, 2025)
- Belém as it will host COP 30 2025 (Nov 10-21, 2025)
- Ceará will host the Triple Forum on the Governance of the Global South (June 11-13, 2025)
You can also buy a copy on the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) here.
What do you think of the map?

There is a spell mistake, it should be “Belém as it will host COP 30 2025″ .it is” host”,not
“hose”. Is anyone can tell me?
