How this tool works
Enter a city or coordinates and pick a date. The calculator runs the standard NOAA solar position equations for that location: it computes the solar declination and the equation of time for the date, then solves for the times when the center of the sun sits at the standard angles for sunrise and sunset (0.833 degrees below the horizon), civil twilight (6 degrees), and golden hour (6 degrees above). Times are shown in UTC and in your own device time zone, since the tool works offline and does not look up the time zone of the chosen place.
