Click a route across the map and get the true distance of every leg and the total.
How this tool works
Click points in sequence to build a route; each leg follows the great circle (the true shortest path over the surface), and the tool totals the distance and lists each leg with its heading. Undo and clear let you refine as you go.
What you can do with it
- Measure multi-stop trips, flight routings, and sailing legs
- Get per-leg distances and compass headings, not just a total
- See true great-circle paths instead of straight flat-map lines
- Read totals in miles, kilometers, and nautical miles
Why use it
The straight-line tool answers A to B; real journeys have waypoints. Clicking a route and getting honest per-leg geodesic distances covers the planning question maps apps overcomplicate.
