How this tool works
The tool tests your point against the boundary polygons of all 177 countries, entirely in your browser, and returns the country with its ISO code, flag, and continent. Points in the sea return open ocean. Because the boundaries are simplified for speed, results within a few kilometers of a border or coastline can be off; everywhere else the lookup is instant and reliable.

Why use it
