The map above shows the percentage of EU citizens in each member country who have a positive view or image of the United Kingdom.
The survey data was taken in September and October 2017, so should take into account any feelings about Brexit.
Unsurprisingly, the British had the most positive view of the UK with 80% holding positive views and 15% holding negative views.
However, this was followed very closely by the Czechs who also had 80% holding positive views but 16% holding negative views.
The country with the lowest opinion of the UK is Luxembourg where only 47% of people have positive views and 45% have negative views, followed by Germany, Greece and France.
Ranked from most to least positive you have:
- UK: 80% positive; 15% negative
- Czech Republic: 80% positive; 16% negative
- Lithuania: 79% positive; 14% negative
- Denmark: 77% positive; 19% negative
- Poland: 77% positive; 12% negative
- Romania: 76% positive; 18% negative
- Hungary: 73% positive; 19% negative
- Sweden: 73% positive; 25% negative
- Croatia: 73% positive; 23% negative

- Greece: 51% positive; 44% negative
- Germany: 49% positive; 43% negative
- Luxembourg: 47% positive; 45% negative
EU average: 64% positive; 28% negative
Interestingly, no country had more people with a negative view of the UK than a positive one. However, the UK is less favourably viewed than France which has an EU 28 rating of 74% positive or Germany which is viewed positively by 72% of citizens.
But as least it’s doing better than the United States (45% positive / 48% negative), China (32% positive / 55% negative) or Russia (28% / 62% negative) among EU citizens.

That is one of the shittiest map designs I have ever seen. The colours are organised in such a way that they are not linear with the data. Atrocious.
Thanks for including the raw data too as having only the map would make this post useless.
I wish they asked for opinion of the EU itself, that would have made an interesting comparison point.

Can we see the same thing for France ?

poll Scotland separately from the ‘UK’ and the there would be two distinctly different colours marking the island of Great Britain.
George Howard says
More importantly would be each country’s view of EU. Germany’s view of France and France of Germany, the big boys and Germany since its taxpayers bankroll the EU especially with UK no longer a net contributer.

Four different shades of blue … why not four completely different colors, you idiots?

Apparently “perfidious Albion” is still as perfidious as it ever was.
