The map above shows the percentage of each country’s population that has some claim to European ancestry. Taken together, it could be argued that Europeans are the world’s largest diaspora, with an estimated population of over 480 million people.
However, just what constitutes European ancestry is highly controversial.
The map excludes Turks and Azerbaijanis from being Europeans, but includes Georgians and Armenians. While this may be because the former are Muslim and the latter are Christians this is not wholly satisfying due to the fact that Balkan Muslims are considered European.
Nagihuin, who created the map, got the figures for each country used the European Diaspora Wikipedia page and the following sources:
USA census. Russian census by oblast, autonomous provinces and other subnational entities linked in the Russian Wikipedia. Ethnic census in Central Asia, Australia states/territories, Latin American and Southern African countries quoted in articles in Wikipedia. Non-european immigrants population recounts in Europe in different articles.
Therefore, based on most national censuses, many mixed race people would also be excluded from the map above and the data below.
If we take the controversial definition the map uses, the European descended diaspora population by country is as follows:
- United States – 223,553,265
- Brazil – 91,051,646
- Argentina – 38,900,000
- Canada – 25,186,890
- Australia – 20,982,665
- Mexico – 20,100,000+
- Colombia – 17,519,500
- Venezuela – 13,169,949
- Cuba – 7,160,399
- South Africa – 4,472,100
- Chile – 3,5M+
- Costa Rica – 3,500,000
- New Zealand – 3,381,076
- Puerto Rico – 3,064,862
- Uruguay – 2,851,095
- Dominican Republic – 2,000,000+
- Bolivia – 2,000,000+
- Peru – 1,4M-4,4M+
- Ecuador – 1,400,000+
- Paraguay – 1,300,000+
- Nicaragua – 1,000,000+

Turks and Azeris are a recent conquerer population that migrated from central Asia, and the founders unrelated in any relevant sense to the Anatolian populations from before about 1000 years ago. Armenians and Georgians have been there since antiquity, and in addition to religion similarities, culturally, linguistically, phenotypically are more like the Slavs and other European groups to their north and west than the Semitic groups south or Turkic groups east. Whereas the Bosnians, though yes Muslim, are Slavic, culturally like their neighbors, phenotypically like their neighbors, geographically disjunct from the larger Muslim community, and converted from the religion of the Romans. Also mind where they’re integrated. Armenian and Georgia are on Russia’s energy and material grids, Turkey’s largely its own but is better integrated with the middle east’s, even if it’s also connected to the EU via Greece.
But mostly it’s also just reasonless self-identity – the Armenians, Bosnians and Georgians consider themselves European, the Turks are proudly Asiatic.
That said, there’s been considerable mixing on all fronts. And it’s largely superficial stuff anyways. It’s notable though that average skin tone means Armenians and Georgians can typically pass for white, at least where I am.

The current day Turks in Turkey are predominantly descended from the original Anatolian population.

Yea the “Turkic” tribe that conquered Anatolia was a small minority – the native population assimilated to their culture to make their lives easier. There are probably a ton of Turks who don’t realize that their ancestors were Greek, Hittite, etc.
Denny Smith says
I generally agree with your calibrations. Although many Turkic peoples have long wanted an identity shared with and respected by Europeans, and if the history of all the Mediterranean societies is fairly reckoned, Hellenistic Egypt & Persia, Andalusian Iberia, Roman Britain, Carthage & Judea, Byzantine Anatolia, Hunnic Ukraine and Hungary, Norman Sicily, Turkish Greece & Bulgaria, French Algeria and the Jewish Pale of Slavic Europe make for the most porous amalgamation of genes and memes on Earth–until the Americas and Oceania were assumed into an even larger vortex of progeniridia.

This is excellent. This map illustrates perfectly the lie of White genocide. All continents have significant populations. I would be more worried about the survival of other races. Europeans really do want a white world I suppose.

I suggest you consult a dictionary for the word “genocide”. It’s not the same thing as eradication.

Forgive the long post in advance. I did a population modeling project for theory in space exploration a while back, so I applied some of the knowledge here, and got carried away. It is interesting none the less.
Chris…by referring to white genocide, I imagine you are referring to the theory that those with European only ancestry commonly referred to as Caucasians are in a sense becoming extinct over time?
If so, your response to say this is theory is proven wrong by the map, is inaccurate.
While I don’t subscribe to the theory, it is a fact that Caucasian ancestry referred to in this theory is shrinking marginally faster than any other “race/ethnicity/choose your term here” on the planet, while every other is growing.
If you combine Russia and Europe together you come to around 950 million people. This next part is estimated based on using just Arabic, African, and Southeast Asian country of origin, but roughly 10 percent of this population is of what you would say non Caucasian ancestry. So let’s make it an even-ish number and say 850 million Europe/Russians are Caucasian.
Now onto the non European countries. The theory would automatically rule out the majority of Central and South American countries because these countries are populated with what is referred to as “Hispanic Caucasian”. Being somewhat liberal with the theory, you could include Argentina, Chile, and for arguments sake Cuba. So these totals would equal an estimated 50 million Caucasian ancestry in South America
Moving onto North America. Only Canada and United States would be included, which would be an estimated 250 million. Add in South Africa, Australia, and NZ with that, and the total becomes 280 million. Then let’s add in another generously estimated 120 million leftover worldwide and you have 400 million total.
Combining all the numbers together, gives you an estimated 1.3 billion people worldwide with only Caucasian ancestry. 1.3B numbers wise is a very significant number and looks like alot. But when factored into percentages versus an estimated 7.5 billion people, it only comes out to 17% of the world population. Which is not reflected on the map obviously.
Worldwide…the killer is… Caucasian birthrate is the lowest of all the “ethnicities” with an average below 1.7 per woman. If you (excuse poor wordage here) but lump every body into these ethnic backgrounds, this 1.7 birth rate worldwide makes a big difference when contrasted against the death rate of Caucasians worldwide.
Combining the 2 numbers gives you something called a birth to death rate or BDR. Which for Caucasians has fallen to 0.9%. To sustain the 1.3B the BDR would need to be 1.0%. But in the last 30 years the Caucasian BDR has dropped nearly 25% from 1.3% to 0.9%. Every other “ethnicity” has a positive BDR, with each one growing each year, though it is only very minimal growth in some.
So… starting in 2020, the Caucasian population is 1.3B worldwide and the BDR is 0.9%. If you modeled this, and kept the BDR at 0.9% then by 2021, there would be an estimated 21 million births, but there would also be an estimated 23 million deaths. So that first year the Caucasian population only loses 2 million. But….
Over the next 100 years, even if the Caucasian population is lucky enough to stay at a 0.9% birth to death ratio(statistically it won’t and it will continue to drop), the Caucasian population will go from 1.3 billion to only 300 million. That is a 1 BILLION with a B population decrease in the next century. By 2150, the “only Caucasian” ancestry will be extinct, like the dinosaurs.
So, again, although I don’t subscribe to the “white genocide” theory… The numbers don’t look good for those hoping to hold onto their ancestral roots if they are Caucasian.

What? Spanish people are not considered white or the huge Italian and German ancestry from Brazil? You are blind!

Obviously even when someone educated gave an educated response from a non-political standpoint, it’s judged and always put on the right if it’s not left. Facts and statistics get removed by the moderating. Continue the agenda.

It is a question. Not a comment. Is it possible to have the percentage of european ancestry in the sub-Saharan country to make correlation with COVID-19 mortality ?
Thanks in advance.
