However, we sincerely hope that the remaining 27 member states do not follow the UK’s lead. To understand why have a look at the following books:
- The European Union Explained: Institutions, Actors, Global Impact
- Postwar: A History of Europe Since 1945
- Towards an Imperfect Union: A Conservative Case for the EU
- Dark Continent: Europe’s Twentieth Century
- The United States of Europe: The New Superpower and the End of American Supremacy
- The Struggle for Europe: The Turbulent History of a Divided Continent 1945 to the Present

Rejoin Soviet Union? F*ck off! Never again!!!
Estonia100 says
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania rejoined the Soviet Union? First of all, the Soviet Union does not exist anymore. Secondly, the Baltic states did not “join” the Soviet Union but were forcefully and illegally annexed for fifty years. Tens of thousands of people were deported, imprisoned and killed for crimes they had not committed. Books and doctoral theseses have been written on the topic, if the authors of this article wish to educate themselves. This part of the article is very insulting if you are coming from these countries.

For reading material you ought also to read “The Rotten Heart of Europe” by Bernard Connolly, a former economic adviser to the EU.
